Arboretum is a new independent members’ club and co–working space, that launched in April 2019, founded by hospitality entrepreneur Ronald Ndoro. The club launched with plant-life throughout, sporting a ceiling garden, indoor forest and plant-powered deli in a co–working space that understands the power of plants in increasing productivity, wellbeing and mental health.
Within the UK, the average worker spends 92% of their time indoors with city workers moving from apartment blocks to office blocks with scarce access to outside greenery. Because of this, and the increasing levels of air toxicity within London, it is increasingly important to bring the outside and all its benefits inside, for us to reap the rewards that being around plant life provides.
Green-minded individuals seeking respite from London’s concrete jungle will soon have a new space where they can relax, mingle and conceive the next planet-saving breakthrough. Arboretum is a botanically inspired haven, designed entirely on the power of plants, trees and inside greenery. The new meeting and co–working space aims to attract socially minded individuals keen to collaborate and make a tangible impact on the environment. Arboretum is promoting an inclusive community of members and guests which welcomes and celebrates the diverse society it’s immersed within. It is a vibrant space designed to connect innovators, change makers and thought leaders committed to finding solutions to the current environmental challenges. It is a place to work, learn, play and to relax over seasonal and locally sourced food and drinks.
Arboretum is trying to build a community of people who want to make a difference, people who want to make a social impact. In the world right now, there are people with a lot of great ideas, but what’s missing is the ability to collaborate on those ideas and turn them into tangible change, or tangible transformation. So, the idea is to bring people together, put all the ideas on the table, pick the best ones and then create a community to work together and make those changes happen!
