Bouvardia’s directors have been in the hairdressing industry collectively for 60 years. Each of them previously working for the international hairdressing brand Vidal Sassoon in Cardiff City centre, which sadly closed in July 2017. They saw this sad situation as a fantastic and exciting opportunity to open our own business.
They wanted to find the best location within Cardiff to ensure that their independent brand could grow and expand, whilst allowing them to continue offering the high level of hairdressing services their clients know and love and attract new business.
Bouvardia opened in the Castle Arcade one month after the closure of Vidal Sassoon. Even though the three directors had held senior positions within Vidal Sassoon, starting their own business was a very scary prospect. Alison Inker was the Salon manager for 21 years, Georgia Jenkins held the Colour director position for 10 years and Jessica Davies was Creative Director for 9 years.
On the first floor, colour specialists attend to their clients and the second floor is now occupied by a beauty therapist. The vision is to provide clients with a wide range of hair and beauty services all under one roof, within a relaxed spa environment. Bouvardia offers clients a bespoke package of services whether you want a complete restyle or to maintain your current look. They also offer a variety of colouring services, wedding packages, spa treatments and blow dry and style bar services.
Bouvardia strives for a reputation of providing exceptional hair that moves and suits our clients, not just within a modern day lifestyle but also emphasising the importance of considering face shapes, eye colour and skin tone.
The team always care about how their clients care for their hair at home by offering tips and advice on home care products to ensure they receive the maximum out of their service and are able to maintain the same effect at home.
