Nanteos Mansion in Ceredigion, Wales, has revealed its 2019 festive afternoon tea menu. Created by Head Chef, This special seasonal menu features a tempting range of afternoon teas, named after Santa’s reindeer. Highlights include Prancer, a children’s afternoon tea and Rudolph, a festive twist on the more traditional afternoon tea.

Priced at £23.50 per person, Nanteos’ Rudolph Afternoon Tea features pigs in blankets sausage rolls, alongside a selection of seasonally-filled finger sandwiches, such as roast turkey and homemade stuffing. An indulgent array of sweet treats including cheese scones, brandy snaps, mince pies, fruit cake and spiced orange posset are served with a choice of loose leaf breakfast tea or a cafetière of aromatic coffee.

For those with a sweet tooth, Vixen’s Sweet Tea is a must. Warm Christmas scones with clotted cream and homemade cranberry jam are served with cinnamon Welsh cakes, freshly baked mince pies, gingerbread reindeer, mouthwatering fruitcake and a zingy spiced orange posset. Priced at £17 per person, the menu comes with a choice of freshly brewed tea or coffee.

Perfect for those who like to keep it simple, Comet’s Cream Tea is priced at just £9.50 per person and features a delicately spiced Christmas scone with clotted cream, homemade mincemeat and cranberry jam.

Nanteos’ Prancer Afternoon Tea is sure to be a hit with the kids. Gingerbread reindeer, chocolate mousse and white chocolate and cranberry cookies are served alongside seasonal turkey goujons. Priced at £8.50 per child, this menu is available to children aged 12 and under and includes a creamy hot chocolate or a soft drink of their choice.

The special festive afternoon tea menu is available from 30 November – 30 December 2019, is served on vintage bone china and comes with a choice of loose leaf breakfast tea or freshly ground coffee. Guests can soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy their seasonal treat in either yr Eos restaurant or the recently refurbished Billiard Room, both of which will be beautifully decorated for Christmas.
