In need of some ‘me time’ and relaxation? Experience tranquil spa treatments at the Marine Spa, situated in voco ® St David’s Cardiff. After a stressful year, we at Style of the city couldn’t wait to receive a relaxing spa treatment. The Marine Spa has a variety of body, facial and beauty treatments to choose from.
This has been my first spa treatment since lockdown, so I couldn’t wait for a deep-tissue massage and a luxurious pedicure.
Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive and escorted me to a private treatment room, ready for my Sea Salt and Oil Express Body Exfoliation massage. The treatment consists of a therapist using a Hebridean sea salt and oil scrub to exfoliate my body, which sweeps away any dull or dry skin. It also helps to stimulate circulation, eliminate toxins and leaves the skin nourished and glowing. I left feeling rejuvenated.
After my relaxing massage, I was then treated to a luxurious pedicure. This effective treatment includes a cleanse, exfoliation, mask and (another) massage. My feet have never felt softer or smoother after that 50-minute treatment.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, I was unable to use the pool, thermal area, sauna, gym or the relaxation room. However, it will be reopening on the 3rd of May 2021 (I’ll definitely be coming back for this).
The staff at the Marine Spa made me feel as safe as possible, whilst still providing relaxing and enjoyable treatments. It was needed and well deserved after the year we’ve had.
