Le M de Megève will be paying special attention to its younger guests this winter season, whilst making sure their parents are also having a wonderful time.
Every afternoon during school holidays, Le M de Megève will be organising fun activities for children! The supervised activities will include pony sledging, snowman workshops, visits to the local farm with afternoon snacks, cooking classes and scrapbooking. Both kids and adults can also enjoy rides in Megève’s old town in the hotel’s very own horse carriage. Le M de Megève is making sure that they’ll never forget their holiday in the Alps!
Food and Beverage
In the meantime, adults will be able to unwind at the cosy Bar du M to discover new flavours in a sophisticated setting. This winter, Le M will be paying tribute to local products through a brand new Génépi tasting menu. Guests will be able to taste different versions of this traditional herbal liqueur from the Alpine region including black, “hors d’âge”, and organic.
The restaurant, le Bistrot du M, will be offering a daily lunch special called the “Pot of the Day”, as well as a children’s menu. Whilst the “Pot of the Day” will only be available for lunch at the Bistrot, latecomers will be able to enjoy it in the evening in their rooms, should they wish to order room service. During the evening, Le Bistrot du M will offer a variety of grilled meats, cooked on the restaurant’s new rotisserie spit. Those wishing to indulge in something sweet during the afternoon will be thrilled to discover that the restaurant transforms itself at teatime to offer crèpes and Belgian waffles.
Cheese enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy melted cheese after a day on the slopes will be pleased. At the hotel’s restaurant, guests are encouraged to personalise their cheese fondue, with the help of cheese expert “fromagier” Thomas Lecomte, by selecting from a medley of the region’s best cheeses – all chosen by an “artisan affineur” – for a one or multiple-based cheese fondue. The fondues can be savoured with a choice of three different breads, with vegetables or even with fruits (like pineapples and raspberries), for a creative mixture of flavours.
New this winter
A 100% local fondue made with cheeses from the Savoie and Haute Savoie regions, such as Manigodine, Beaufort and Abondance, all mixed with Champagne for extra finesse.
Wellness & Spa
Located in the heart of the hotel, the Balneo area consists of a pool (which is equipped with a counter-current system), a fitness area, a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a rock-carved Hammam, inspired by the local architecture, which subtlety blends wood and stone. The M’s Spa has 4 massage rooms, including one for couples. The Spa uses products from the brand Cinq Mondes, as it includes the beneficial effects of the latest Phyto-Aromatics to its cosmetics.
Kids-friendly treatments
Children’s skin needs extra attention and TOOFRUIT has therefore created organic, natural and respectful treatments for our little ones. They won’t forget their very first spa experience thanks to a new massage: Soft Tickling with a soothing balm made of chamomile and apricot oil (from 3 to 12-year-old: 60€ for 20 minutes – up to 3-year-old with a parent: 30€ for 15 minutes). This head to toe massage will definitely calm your children and help them get a good night’s sleep.
New treatments:
This winter, guests will be able to enjoy the new traditional Thai massage (80 minutes – 190 €). The Thai traditional massage has been used for over 2500 years in Thailand and is inspired by shiatsu, Ayurveda and yoga. It helps reach for the perfect balance between the body and the mind, whilst relaxing stiff muscles.
Guests are massaged from head to toe while laying down on a futon on the ground. The massage itself switches from deep pressure to stretches to soften the muscles and release tension. The Thai massage is ideal after a day on the slopes, to unwind and loosen up any muscle tension.
Le M is now offering a therapeutic healing treatment exclusive to Megève: a hot sand therapy. This remarkable concept consists of being covered in warm sand on an alpha quartz bed. It is based on the thousand-year-old Psammotherapy technique, which relieves pain and brings deep relaxation. It is also known to amplify the benefits of other body and facial treatments.
After a well-deserved treatment at the spa, guests can experience a new herbal tea menu. Le M de Megève has partnered up with a professional herbalist to create a selection of herbal teas, each is adapted to a different treatment: a relaxing elixir is served after a soothing massage for instance, whilst something more stimulating is chosen after a sports massage.
