The two weeks over Easter can be long to fill, and once you’ve been to the cinema and bowling there doesn’t seem to be much else. Luckily we have you covered with a list of both ticketed and free things to do with kids in Cardiff this Easter.
The Big Museum Easter Trail
When: 19-22nd April 10am-3pm
This Easter activity is fun and affordable for all of the family. Either head to St Fagans, National Museum Cardiff or the National Waterfront Museum to get involved. Just sign up on arrival and receive your clues from the desk. You can then make your way around the museums solving clues and learning as you go.
Cardiff Castle Easter Trail
When: 13-28 April
This Easter trail is perfect for those of you who are already busy Bank Holiday weekend. At only £1 to enter, you must solve the Easter themed clues around Cardiff Castle to win a prize. There’s also an opportunity to win tickets to the Joust! event in June. Just head to the ticket office to receive your clues.
The Big Spring Maze
Go and get lost in the brand new spring maze in the Red Dragon Centre. As well as your typical bowling, arcade, cinema and restaurants, the new attraction adds another thing to check out down the bay. Open to all the family, you’re invited to search around the maze for the six hidden Easter eggs. There’s also the chance to win a family day out at the Red Dragon Centre
Hop into Hamleys
When: 6-22 April 2019
Where: Hamleys, St Davids 2
There are so many events going on inside Hamleys this spring. There’s an Easter egg hunt, the almost unbeatable Games Expert to challenge and lucky dips galore. There are giveaways and prizes galore from stickers to LEGO, and plenty of arts and crafts to get stuck into. Just visit the store and you might be in with the chance to win a hamper worth £1500.
Mad Science Camp
When: 15-18 April
Where: Allensbank Crescent
While on the pricer side of this list, the Mad Science Camp is a great way to keep your kids engaged over the Easter period. The Mad Science extravaganza has rockets and demos galore to make your children forget they’re even learning.
