Style of the City is here to give you the top fashion tips on how to style your Faux fur winter looks. Faux fur jackets are a big staple piece and are often an investment to your wardrobe. We want to share with you four ways to wear your faux fur coats this winter.
Investing in a neutral coat is key, it can go with almost everything and if you get the right one, it can become a staple. This faux fur coat, which I have had for four years and I still wear, paired with a sharp red corduroy pinafore and leopard turtleneck is the perfect look for a day out, transitioning into the evening. It is classy and would definitely draw some attention.
For a more edgy and current look, I chose a bright green turtleneck, black corduroy flares with a white lace bodysuit. Turtlenecks are so versatile to wear and easy to find in multiple colours. Pairing it with the bodysuit makes the look more unique and out there. The fluffy bucket hats are really on-trend and I don’t leave the house without mine, especially paired with this checked teddy coat. This outfit is for a warmer day, as the jacket is lighter and more oversized.
Look 3 is bold, bright and unique! This lilac and pink outfit is definitely going to get you a few compliments! The gorgeous fluffy lilac coat is from Depop and I have had so much wear out of it. Having a coloured faux fur coat in your wardrobe can help make any outfit pop. The lilac faux suede skirt is a charity shop find, which makes it even more unique. Adding pink to the outfit breaks up the lilac and helps it all pop. The spotty tights are a must-have through winter because they stand out a lot.
The last look is more casual and toned down. The classic faux lined denim jacket is a great piece to have in your wardrobe over winter, it’s warm and extremely comfy. You can’t go wrong with a denim jacket, a jumper and leggings, but getting shiny leggings makes the outfit a little more out there. This look shows that you don’t need to go all out to wear faux fur this winter, there is a look for everyone.
