Rebecca, our guest writer, is a life long Londoner who recently got the chance to stay in the heart of the Welsh capital. Here she tells us her thoughts on her incredible stay at the Radisson Blu Cardiff.

I was introduced to the Radisson Blu in Cardiff during an opportunity to experience the Welsh capital for the very first time. Towering over the buzzing city centre, the hotel provides an uber stylish base for one-night stays, mini-breaks and business trips.

Being a lover of the open road, I decided to venture into Wales from London in the car. After a lengthy 3 hour journey, it was a great sigh of relief to finally arrive at the Radisson Blu. I pulled into the hotel’s on-site car park, grabbed my overnight bag and headed to the reception desk. A friendly member of staff checked me into my room and provided useful information on the hotel, must-see local attractions, and recommendations for shopping, dining and nightlife.

Eager to settle in, I took the lift up to the 19th floor and entered a delightfully spacious room with breathtaking panoramic views. My timing couldn’t have been more perfect as the sun was just beginning to set over the city. Following an energising shower, I got my glad rags on and headed out to explore.

Just a stone throw away from the hotel, I was completely spoilt for choice by the variety of shops, restaurants and bars on offer. After enjoying an eventful evening, I returned to the comfort of my hotel room and snuggled into bed.

As my alarm went off the following morning, I was met once again by dreamy views of the city, romantically framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows. I spent some time watching the sunrise, sat in a soft and cosy armchair, accompanied by a warming cup of refreshing herbal tea

Breakfast was served buffet style in the hotel’s restaurant. From cereals, breads and pastries, to all the components of a full English, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Being vegan, I opted for a delicious selection of fruits, grains and freshly squeezed juices.

I left Cardiff later that afternoon filled with fond memories of the enchanting Welsh city, and a truly unforgettable stay at the Radisson Blu.
