Cardiff’s only 5-star hotel, voco St David’s Cardiff, is delighted to announce the launch of two exciting new afternoon tea menus. This Autumn the hotel has introduced a Welsh Afternoon Tea and a Festive Afternoon Tea to The Admiral St David restaurant.
The Welsh Afternoon Tea swaps out the usual menu for indulgent savoury snacks and sweet treats inspired by iconic Welsh history and famous landmarks, created using local produce.
Those who sit down for the Welsh Afternoon Tea will find savoury delights including Welsh rarebit on pumpernickel, smoked welsh salmon sandwiches and iced Welsh love spoons. The experience is finished off with a refreshing Brecon gin mixer.
Throughout December the Festive Afternoon Tea serves up a selection of sandwiches and sweets, from traditional favourites such as turkey and cranberry sandwiches to dark chocolate and orange baubles.
As well as an array of sweet and savoury treats, guests will have a selection of drinks to choose from – including Mulled Wine, Tea’s and Prosecco.
Nicola Edmunds, Director of Revenue and Sales, voco St David’s Cardiff commented: “We’re delighted to have launched these exciting afternoon tea menus. We’re always looking to improve and expand on our menus, and both of these new afternoon teas will introduce something a bit different to Cardiff emphasising our Welsh heritage.”
The 142-room hotel sits on Cardiff Bay, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering guests stunning views of the waterfront, including the murmuration of starlings over the water at dusk. With private balconies and a coastal setting, the hotel provides guests with a tranquil place to stay, close to the city-centre of the Welsh capital.
The award-winning Marine Spa offers local residents and hotel guests the perfect spot to unwind, with comforting treatments sure to make guests come away feeling thoroughly pampered. With eight different meeting spaces, the hotel’s experienced team can cater to a variety of events – from weddings of up to 220 guests to corporate meetings for up to 400 people.
