Founder Amanda Moaksom started her career at her mother’s dining room table in Cardigan, South Wales. With determination and an enormous passion for all things beauty, Amanda’s talent grew, as did her client base, ensuring she became the most sought-after beauty therapist in Cardigan. Growing her business, she soon found Cowbridge as the next stop, setting up her clinic on bustling Cowbridge High Street. Some thirty-six years later, she hasn’t looked back.
Husband Neil has also come on board as director. With daughters Anna and Ellie assisting with the business, it’s truly a family affair built on extensive hard work, excellent customer service and award-winning treatments. We are a cosmetic/aesthetic laser clinic, medical spa, and beauty salon located in the same building. Cowbridge is central to the Vale of Glamorgan county and about 12 miles west of the city centre of Cardiff. Doctor Nancy Sharma, who specialises in aesthetic injectable treatment and thread lifts, is working with us. Doctor Nancy is also a qualified dermatologist.
The medical director is Dr. Oliver Spencer, who is an aesthetic dentist who also offers injectable services.
The Beauty Within also offers BBL non-surgical bum lifts and Elemis massages, along with everyday beauty products from hydra facials to eyelashes.
Also practising with them are the Vale Eye Surgeons, a team of three NHS ophthalmic consultant eye surgeons who offer consultations, medical care and laser treatments at their clinic here within our facility in Cowbridge. Mr Thomas Betts practices general ophthalmology cataract surgery with a particular interest in oculoplastic surgery.
Mr Ryan Davies practices general ophthalmology and cataract surgery and has a special interest in paediatrics and strabismus. Ms Magdelena Popiela practices general ophthalmology cataract surgery and has a special interest in corneal surgery.
Yvette Haines is an acupuncturist qualified in traditional Chinese medicine. Yvette has been qualified for over 25 years in business and specialises in female health and fertility, gynaecological disorders, assistance with IVF programs and menopausal issues, among many others.
They are also excited to introduce local GP Dr Anne Alison and her expert team at Vale Wellness.
Together, they bring a patient-centred and holistic approach to lifestyle and wellness. Their comprehensive services encompass private GP care, pharmacy, physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, IV therapy, psychology, and phlebotomy.
