To celebrate his upcoming appearance on Channel 4’s First Dates, Giovanni Malacrino – owner of Giovanni’s, a collection of restaurants in Cardiff serving Welsh-Italian cuisine – will be hosting a viewing event at his Park Place restaurant tonight.
Giovanni Malacrino will be holding a special viewing party to celebrate his appearance on the Channel 4 dating show First Dates at his Park Place restaurant tonight, Tuesday 28th May. It will start at 8:30pm, with bookings available all evening where diners will be able to watch the action from a big screen, table-side.
The event will be raising money for charity, with Giovanni intending to donate £5 per booking to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.
Giovanni has built a strong reputation over the years for producing delicious cuisine, and serving it to a variety of famous faces; from his restaurant in New York in the 1980s, to his singles hotspot The Continental on Mill Lane, Giovanni’s haunts have fed everyone from Ed Sheeran to Luciano Pavarotti, Tom Jones and Enrique Iglesias.
He will also be launching a new singles night at his Park Place restaurant on Tuesday nights, called That’s Amore, where pasta lovers can join a communal table and chat, with no cheesy games or hanging love heart garlands in sight. Giovanni says of this idea: “Communal dining is a brilliant, fun way to eat. And if you happen to meet the love of your life – then great!”
Giovanni will be on First Dates on 28th May at 10pm on Channel 4. The event at Giovanni’s Park Place starts at 8.30pm, with bookings available all evening, and communal dining, with single places, is available. Contact the restaurant for details.
