Festival – inspired pop up Glamping Village

‘Starry Meadow’ announces summer dates

30 July – 30 august 2021

HAY-ON-WYE, Wales

With Hay Festival going online, holiday cottages booked up and staycations the most popular post-lockdown travelling trend,  Starry Meadow is excited to announce its return this summer.  After a roaringly successful first year in 2020 – this year they are back (and even bigger) for the whole of August offering a unique and celebratory family glamping experience with a festival vibe. Think fluttering flags and bunting, delicious street-food, star-lit evenings with storytelling and acoustic music around the campfire, all with the kids running wild and free. It isn’t a festival, but it does have the sort of magical atmosphere.

Co-founder Diane says:

“We hosted Starry Meadow for just 10 days in 2020 and it went down a storm, selling out 90 slots in just 3 weeks, with guests pretty much begging us to do it again. This year we’re hosting it for 30 days and making it bigger and better!”

The spacious site offers laid-back affordable luxury with boutique bell tents which sleep up to 4 (plus 2 children) all are kitted out with fitted floors, bedside tables, mirrors, fairy lights and super comfortable futon style beds and are carefully distanced from each other in accordance with social distancing rules. The site boasts hot showers, a bar marquee and even an outdoor cinema tent, there’s plenty to keep the children occupied – activities on site include archery, canoeing, willow craft to name a few…

All this, in a delightful spot in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with its stunning mountain scenery and dark skies status. Starry Meadow is a short walk from Hay on Wye, stuffed full of bookstores, vintage shops and fabulous food. And it’s just a mile from the pretty river beaches, perfect for wild swimming and canoeing on hot summer days.

“Starry Meadow was such a success last year, it’s exciting to be hosting it for a second time. I love that we’re able to offer families the chance to get away, especially as foreign travel is so uncertain at the moment”
