Microblading is the newest trend in semi-permanent make up. The natural looking results are achieved with a fine, hand-held blade made up of 7 or more micro-needles. Instead of outlining and completely filling in the outline of your brows with colour, Microblading actually allows for the placement of hair-like strokes into the skin.
Unlike traditional tattooing which uses needles on a rotary / coil machine to push ink 7 layers deep into the skin, Microblading uses a manual blade and only targets 3 layers of skin. A topical numbing cream is applied ½ hour before the procedure to minimise discomfort.
About 6 weeks after the initial sessions, it is advised that you take up the top-up session. This is a quicker appointment to re-define the hairs and add more if necessary. This second appointment allows for the microblading to last between 1 to 3 years.
